Gator Strong New Release ***GIVEAWAY***

Howdy and happy Friday all. To kick of the weekend we've got a fun new set to share with you. One of our DT Members, Sandy, made a special request to Kris to make a set featuring an alligator. Sandy's son just graduated basic training in the Air Force and their group's moto is 'gator strong' so she wanted to create something special for him and Kris came up with the perfect set for her. Check it out...

Sandy and a few of our other DT members also had fun working with the set.  Here are some great samples to help inspire you...

How would you like to win this fun set, as shown above? To be eligible, simply leave a comment answering the following question...

Have you ever seen an alligator or a crocodile up close, either in a zoo or out in nature?

I've actually always been fascinated by alligators and crocodiles, ever since I was a kid. However, I do prefer my encounters to be behind rather thick enclosures or through the television. There was one time though that I got to see them out in nature up close and a bit too personal for my tastes. A number of years ago, my hubby and I were on vacation visiting with my parents who were spending the winter in Florida. My parents had friends in the area who had a speed boat. We ended up going out on a river that was completely infested with alligators. They were everywhere I'd look! I would have been normally terrified and praying the boat didn't sink but what made things worse that particular day was that I had had a really bad fall just days before and I was on crutches and my knee was all braced up and a mess. Instead of being able to enjoy the boat ride somewhat, I just couldn't relax thinking that I'd never be able to swim if we went down! Thankfully we survived the ride unscathed. It is definitely an encounter I'll never forget!

You have until 3:00 p.m. (PST) on Monday, August 29th, to get your response submitted.

We will announce the winner of this set on Tuesday, August 30th at 3:00 p.m.  Don't forget you'll have just two weeks to claim your prize, if you are the lucky winner!

Can't say that I have ever seen a real alligator or crocodile. Love the "So Sorry I snapped" sentiment!

I used to work at the hawkes bay aquarium. So I have had the great honor to actually hold a croc. Best experience in my life. Love these reptiles.

I have seen both at Zoos. You only had the glass of the building between you and the reptiles. My brother Tim has seen them a little too close. He lives in FL. They had one in their yard. Edwina Brown

Okay - after seeing Teresa's comment I realise that I have seen a croc at the Hawkes Bay Aquarium. Thanks for the reminder Teresa - it was a long time ago!
Love that aquarium too.

I live in Florida, so yes, I've seen them in both places, I've even held a baby albino gator at the Gator Farm in St. Augustine.
I have a cool story. One morning on the way to work, around 7:30 am, I was on a small barely 2 lane back road on the way to work, I come around a pretty big corner and there is a HUGE, 10 or 12 foot gator WALKING across the road, just taking his time, I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting it and it didn't even flinch. I was driving an Expedition at the time, this thing was way longer than the front of my truck and his back was about half way up my door! He was HUGE! Needless to say, I was awake for real after that. Thankfully it never happened again. But we see them swimming in the lakes, even retention ponds.

Unfortunately, YES!!! They are so scary looking. There is a restaurant not far from our house that has a boat ramp! After dinner we decided to go out and watch the sunset in this area. Well, up came the local Croc. (we live on the West Coast of Florida on the outskirts of Tampa). Think that he had many different shapes for his choosing of dinner. Needless to say, we got the heck away from him and "his" boat ramp. Scared me to death. Never went down there again!

I was so shook up remember that that I forgot to say that I wouldn't have gone in the water either Lisa. This would be perfect and would love to win; because, this is one of our teams' names down here! Keeping my finger and all my toes crossed. Thanks for the chance.

Wonderful set and cards! Yes, I've seen gators many years ago at a gator farm, I wouldn't want to work there! They also had a mermaid skeleton!

I've seen a dwarf crocodile at our local zoo but last time we went they'd moved him to another zoo for breeding. I was very disappointed as he was my favourite, probably because he lived in the tropical house where it was nice and warm! Great set of images and sentiments x
