Digital Design: Gingerbread Scene & Papers

Hello everyone! Lisa D. from the DT, here this evening sharing my latest creation with you all! Tonight I have something a little bit different planned.

Last year, before I joined the IT team, I received a wonderfully generous gift from Kris in the form of her Gingerbread Scene Digi Set and accompanying Gingerbread Digital Papers. Well, I've been itching to make a set of brads using several of the items from that set for use on some future Christmas cards. Last night, I finally got the chance to.

General Info:
  • I have five sets of brad templates: a .3 in. circle; a 1 in. circle; a 1.3 x .7 rectangle; a .7 in. square; and a 1 in. square (please note sizes are approximations). Within each of these sets there are ten different types of metal edgings (for ex., gold, silver, copper, pewter, chrome, etc.).
  • There are five images within the Gingerbread Scene Digi Set that I specifically wanted to make into brads. I also used three papers from the Gingerbread Digital Papers set, and two papers from the Christmas Snowflakes Digital Papers set for the background of the brads.
  • So, for the purposes of what I am showing you today, I have put each of the images and an accompanying paper into one of the different brad shapes.

Check them out...
As mentioned above, all five images come from the Gingerbread Scene set.  I just love the individual elements in this set! They are all perfect additions to any holiday card!  Please click on the watermark below to find the set in the store.

Also as previously mentioned, I have used papers from the Gingerbread Digital Papers set, and the Christmas Snowflakes Digital Papers set for the background of the brads. I have also used one of the papers as the background for my display. Please click on the watermarks below to find the sets in the store.

Important to note...

Now if you too enjoy digital design, please note that not all artists allow their images to be used in digital projects such as the ones I have created above. So, be sure to carefully check the terms of use and if it isn't covered, contact the artist. Keep in mind that in the majority of circumstances, even if you are allowed to use the items to create digital products, unless you have purchased an image with a commercial use license or are granted special permission, the digital creations you make, will be for your own personal use ONLY.

While Kris does allow people to create digital items with her digis and papers, the resulting creations are for your own personal use. Should you wish to give away or sell digital items using Imagine That! Digis by Kris products (ie. non-printed/non-handmade projects), you would need special permission to do so.

And guess what...

Kris has done exactly that! I have received special permission to have a blog draw.

Watch for your chance to earn the full set of 50 digital brads, coming soon...

That is five different shapes and images X ten different metal casings for a total of 50 digital brads that you can use on your own holiday cards!  Of course, you're going to have to do a little work to have your chance to earn them, but don't worry, it won't be anything too strenuous.

Look for the draw coming in July as part of a special Christmas in July with Imagine That! Digis by Kris post.

Have a good night everyone!  Happy crafting until we meet again!

Card Design: Joy Birds

Hello everyone!  Lisa D. from the DT, here this evening sharing my latest card with you all!

This time around I've created a Christmas card.  I don't know about you, but I'm always panicking at the end of the year; so, I've made a vow to try and get at least two Christmas cards made a month.  I'm hoping to do at least one a month with a set from Imagine That! Digis by Kris.  Not only will I get ahead with my holiday cards, I'll also get to showcase some of Kris' adorable sets suitable for the holidays.

This time around I've used an image from the Joy Birds set.  These birds are just so cute. They are all set for the Christmas weather (which thankfully won't be for a while around here) and ready to bring joy into someone's life during the holidays! As usual, I've chosen to work with the coloured version for this project. Please click on the watermark below to find the set in the store.
I've also used one of the sentiments from the set for the inside of my card...

Have a good night everyone!  Happy crafting until we meet again!

Clean and Simple

It's Helen here with a floral card I've made.  I love making clean and simple cards and I think digi stamps like this one are perfect for this type of card,

I've used the very pretty 'Queen Anne's Lace' digi which you can find here on the Imagine That Digis by Kris website.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then used a pale grey Promarker to edge it - this gives the image a bit of extra definition and works well with the white flowers,

I've layered the card with kraft and dark brown paper and just used some simple gems to finish it.

Hope you like the end result - it would be suitable for lots of different occasions,

Not so Fuschia...

... but "lovely" all the same :)

The great thing about our sets is that you get both the pre-colored (for quick crafting) and non-colored line drawings (so you can color yourself).  Linda K. had fun trying new colors with our Fuchsia & Hummingbird digi set and the results are so pretty, take a peek!!

Have a lovely day!!

Psalm 91

Psalm 91 is a nice set if you're in need of a Sympathy or "Thinking of You" type of card, which is what Linda & Silvi created this week.  You could also leave off a sentiment and just use the cute bird on floral branch or add a Spring or Summery sentiment, Birthday or other.  Very versatile.  :)

Go Shopping

Have a wonderful week!

Dad is One-Of-A-Kind!

Here's a card I made using the cute set called Humphrey's Ties .

I made it CAS (clean and simple) as it's a masculine card.
I usually don't like to fancy up cards for males.

Dream Big Easel Card

Lisa Lynn created this fun Easel Card using

Look closely at the pic above - the ribbon she used down the middle has  "baseball" type markings!

the white circle is perfect for writing or stamping  your sentiments :)

What are you dreamin' of??

Happy Crafting! xx

Dolphins Card from Helen

Good morning everyone - it's Helen here with a card I've made using the beautiful 'Dolphins' digi stamp set from Imagine That Digis by Kris.  You can find the set here on the Imagine That website.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then layered on to blue and white card - I've cut the layers using a scallop die.  I've added some ribbon and silver gems to finish the card.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day

Happy Birthday Bouquet

Happy Wednesday!  Silvi created this pretty card using "Bouquet For" digi (pre-colored version).  This digi comes with various sayings on the tags "My Friend", "For Mom", "For my Sister".  The digi paper comes from the paper pack, "Valentines."

Have some crafty fun today!

Humphrey's All Tied Up

Have you seen the new digis for Father's Day?  Monique created a fun Stair Step card using the brand new, Humphrey's Ties.  This set comes with a Father's Day sentiment and an everyday one, but you can easily use this for Birthdays like Monique did, or many other occasions.

I love how she cut a "TIE" out of the Happy Birthday paper! :)

Thanks for stopping today!

Queen Anne's Lace

Hi folks
Its a card from  Tania using

I do love Kris' images and I have used the image and coloured it with promarkers, adding a Wink of Stella to the flower,to finish the butterfly off I have added glossy accents.
I cut out the image with an oval die and mounted it on to a spellbinder die cut. To finish off the card I embossed a dot folder on the card background and added a
Craftwork card sentiment.
thanks so much for calling by
hugs xx
