Life's a BBQ.... Grill On!

BBQ's are great and we use ours a ton during the summer.  We also have family bbq's for birthdays when the weather is nice, in fact we just had one for my daughter's birthday a few weeks ago, and this weekend we're having another for my mom's 70th Birthday!  But birthdays or not, it gets used during the week so we don't have to heat up the house with the oven.  Marinated chicken is our favorite thing to BBQ.  Some cook fruits and veggies on the grill - we've tried grilled pineapple, but gotta say, wasn't my fave.  I love eating the cold fresh kind.  What do YOU like to BBQ??

Guest Designer Monique is here to share a very cute card, perfect for summer BBQing!  She used the digi set, "Gertie Goose Summer" and some fabby die cuts to match!  :)

Have a great week!!

Card Design: Elegant Ornaments

Hello and happy Friday to you all!  Lisa D. from the DT, here this evening sharing my latest card!

Traditionally I have been posting at least one Christmas card each month using one of Kris' wonderful images and this month is no exception!  From the first moment I saw the Elegant Ornaments set and the Romance 1 papers in Kris' store well over a year ago, I knew that one day I just had to work with them. I love both equally and thought they'd come together to make something elegant. Today I'm showing you the first card I have made but I plan on making many more with this set!

There are so many beautiful images in the Elegant Ornaments set but I was really drawn to this one when putting my card together.
The Romance 1 set of papers feature some really beautiful and elegant black and white papers.  I thought the one I chose for my card was a nice compliment to the decoration around the ornament.  Clicking on the watermarks above and below will take you to their respective locations in the store.
The inside of my card also features the same paper and also one of the sentiments from the Elegant Ornaments set.

For all the details of this particular creation, I invite you to visit my original post by clicking HERE.

Have a good weekend everyone!  Happy crafting until we meet again!

Playin' in the Puddles

Linda K. created this card using our Rainy Day Fun digi set.  Isn't this adorable?!  I love the fun floral paper she used behind the image, and the cute ribbons and floral gems - they really look great with this li'l girl and birds.  This set also comes with a Boy and several versions of the the images so you can mix and match!  :)

We also sell a couple of paper packs that would coordinate with this set!

What will YOU imagine today?!

You Are So Sweet

Happy Friday!!  Did this week just zip by or what?!!  I really can't complain though - it's been uneventful for the most part which was a nice change from the busyness of the week before.  And now to help round out a good week, here's a cutie from our Guest Designer, Linda A

So cute.  Don'tcha love the bright paper circle and stitching and twine.  it's all so cute.
Thanks for visiting!!

We're a Li'l Twisted here

Hey all... Linda's sharing her twisted easel card today using the digi set, "Ladybug/Daisy Boot Planter"  This set comes with 2 boots; a plain one (as shown) and cute ladybug boots.

You can find lots of tutorials for this and other fancy folds on Splitcoast Stampers.  :)

Happy Crafting!

Digi Scrap Freebie - Summer Time Layouts

Hi there!  I wonder how many of you card-makers out there are also digi-scrap addicts??  How about digi-scrap wannabes??  Are there way more piccies on your camera or iphone that in albums that can be passed down to future generations?  I actually was a traditional scrap-booker long before I made my first card or bought my first stamp.  And over the years, the more I've learned to create digitally, the easier it is to get my pictures into layouts - quicker too!  And did you know, you can have your digi scrap pages turned into a printed book!!  Let me know if you digi scrap, I'm really curious how many of you do this.  :)

I'd like to share 2 digi scrap page templates with you.  I created these with my Ice Cream Parlour digi papers, and Ice Cream Treats & Sunny Days digi stamp sets.  Here are a couple of samples using my photos -- of course I would not make 2 of the same page--you'd want to use different pictures ;P

(your templates will NOT have pictures in it - this is just for a sample)

Have an awesome rest of your week!

Barb's Cards - Embossing and Window Cut-out

Let's see what DT member, Barb has been up to lately :)  Here are 2 cards using "Tulips in Watering Can" and "Humphrey's Rowboat" - you can read more about these on her blog by clicking the siggy pic at the bottom of this post.

Barb painted the image with Inktense and Prismacolor watercolor pencils and some Gelatos on watercolor paper. Most everything else was card stock that was embossed or punched.

Her next card is a cute Father's Day window card using Humphrey's Rowboat :)  I love cards with unique features, don't you?  The inside of blue circle on front is cut out to reveal a glimpse of the inside picture.

My Daughter's Newest Digi Set

Happy Wednesday!  Did you know that Kris' daughter, Carly drew up a line of digis when she was just 12 years old?  We call them "Carly's Cuties" and you can find them in the Imagine That! store HERE.  This isn't all of her sets, unfortunately we lost several that we had released at the old store (no instant downloads) when the computer crashed last year and didn't have those backed up :(  Anywhoo, today we're showcasing her newest set, Ice Cream Maddy  (fyi:  Maddy's her li'l sister) and this set is only $1.50 *Ü*

Tania's card also uses the Ice Cream Parlour digi paper pack

Life's an Ice Cream - Enjoy it Before it Melts!

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?  I love mint-chocolate chip, french vanilla, (those I could eat anytime) but when I'm really in the mood, I just love sherbert!  That kind that has orange, raspberry and lime all rolled in one tub!  Love it.  :)

Today, Lisa-Lynn is sharing a couple of cards she made using our newly released, Ice Cream Treats digi set.

I love this card - great sketch and sentiment, not to mention my fave flavor! ;0)

This next card uses one of the sentiments that comes with this set - a great one for sending to a good friend, let her know that no matter what life brings, we can get thru it together.  Lisa also used the digi paper that coordinates with this set! :)

(I love shaped cards, don't you?!!)  *Ü*

Have a COOL day!!

Happy Father's Day!

I hope all our dad's out there are getting some special treatment today :)  A normal Father's Day here consists of a BBQ either at my dad's or having the folks over here but this year, our girls are dancing their last recital of the season today (4th one this weekend!!) so I think by tonight we'll make a quick visit to dad's then get some take-out food and spend a quiet evening at home.  How are you all spending the day?  :)

Here's a cute stacked card by Tania using "Humphrey's Ties"

here you can see the dimension and layers --
lots of fussy cutting here, but well worth it for that wow factor!  *Ü*

Wishing you all a Happy Sunday!
