Card Design: Jars of Christmas Cheer

Hello everyone!  Lisa D. popping in on this Friday afternoon to share my final card for the month!  I'm not sure about where you are but boy is it hot where I am.  We've been experiencing quite the heat wave this week in Ontario, Canada.  I hope you are keeping cool if you too, happen to be in a hot zone!

If you have been with us over the course of this past month, you know that a big focus of it has been on celebrating the theme 'Christmas in July', which means I get to add a few extra cards to my Christmas Card Pot.

This time around I have used goodies from one of Kris' older sets.  If you have been part of the Digi of the Month Challenge, you will recognize the set from last year.  This time around I wanted to do something a little bit different so I thought outside of the box--well outside the square actually--and came up with a card I am pretty pleased with!

I looked through the sets that I had and decided that the Jars of Cheers set would be perfect for what I wanted to accomplish.  I just love this set as it has so many different options.  So far I have used it for an anniversary card for my parents where I took the jar with the empty notes and added words that had to do with a successful relationship.  Words like love, commitment, patience, communication, etc.  Given that my parents have been married for over 52 years, I thought that appropriate.  I have also used it for a Christmas card earlier this past year and decided to go the Christmas route with it for this creation as well but I know I will be using this set again and again.  Just check out all the different kinds  of goodies available in it...

...and here is the card I came up with...
...with a closer look at the front...

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend wherever you may be in this wonderful world of ours!  Happy crafting until we meet again!

Christmas Card Ornament

Good morning everyone - it's Helen here with some Christmas inspiration.  I've made a little project which can double as a card or decoration.

I've used two digi sets - 'Baking Chloe' is here and 'Chef Freddy' is here'.  The sentiment and paper I've used on the middle panel is from the 'Chef  Freddy'.

I've made a three panel hanging card - here's a view of the individual panels:

Enjoy the rest of your week

Laughing's a Good Thing!

A birthday just isn't a birthday until you laugh so hard that cake & ice cream come out your nose!!  LoL.  Okay, I've (luckily) never had that happen, but this sentiment cracks me up!!  Lisa Lynn has used some great ones with our digis and this one is no exception.   She used Ice Cream Boy digi set... you'll have to hop over to her blog to find out what sentiment she used! *Ü*

Card Design: Treat Stand

Hidey ho to you all on this beautiful Saturday afternoon!  Lisa D. from the DT, here to share my latest card!

Since it is 'Christmas in July' over here this month, I get to add a few to the Christmas Card Pot.   I'm up to 18 so far this year with this one and definitely on schedule.

This time around I have used goodies from two of this month's new releases.  Check it out...

The main image is from this month's DOTM set, Treat Stand.   This is another great set and so versatile with a Christmas or everyday option. As always you get several sentiments + you also get four digi papers as a bonus--two Christmas themed and two general themed--all for the low price of $2.50 for the remainder of this month!!! Please click on the name or watermark below, to find the set in the store.

I've also used one of the brads from the special Gingerbread Brad set that I created.   Don't forget you still have time to win one of three sets of these 50 Christmas themed digital brads. For task #3, there is only one card linked up so far; so, if you have a card linked in the IT Digi Stamp of the Month link up, why not head over to my blog and link it up there as well for your chance to win one of the sets??!!  Right now the odds are pretty good of winning. If you've already got the card made, it will just take another moment to link it up over there too. Be sure to check click HERE for all the details.

The inside of my card features one of the sentiments from the Treat Stand set.

I've also used a digital paper from another of the new release sets this month called Baking Chloe.

For all the details of this particular creation, I invite you to visit my original post by clicking HERE.

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend everyone!  Happy crafting until we meet again!

New Release!! Goin' Buggy

Welcome everyone!  We have some new releases today!!  A digi set, and coordinating sentiments and digi papers!  This is a larger set than "normal" but can be a lot of fun mixing and matching to create some fun crafts.   I've created 3 cards using this set this week...

This first one is another shadow box card I created for the challenge I'm sponsoring at Latina's Arts & Crafts (one more week to enter!)

This next card i attempted to create a canning jar using my Envelope Punch Board.  There's a Youtube video on it.  Pretty simple really :)  So cute for just about any digi in this set!

here's the inside of my card.... the big round sentiment comes in my new sentiment set

and here's another version of the canning jar - I used a transparency over the jar for that realistic effect :)   (you can see it better in the 2nd photo)

I used one the sentiments in my set and paper pieced it with the same papers on my card.

and here they are...

(Outlines are included as well as colored)

Happy crafting this weekend!! :)
