Easter Lamb of God

Hi [digi] stampers!  :)  Easter is a week from Sunday, so I whipped up a couple more Easter cards since I was heading to the Post Office anyways today.  I had a few of these sunburst backgrounds that I made a while back and didn't finish the cards for whatever reason, so I pulled them out thinking it would make a nice Easter card.  There are so many names for Jesus Christ including Lamb of God, and Light of the World which are both reflected in this card.

This digi set is called "Lamb with Cross" (since I already had a set called Lamb of God) and there are several versions including with a cross/banner and without... and one lamb or two.

I hope you have all have a Blessed Easter ♥
Happy Crafting!

Interactive Pull Tab Slider with Rotating Mechanism

"Time for CHOMPING on some Birthday Cake"

Hi there digi stampers! I have a fun interactive card to share with you today! It is easier than it looks and will be so fun for the kiddos! I've used the new digi set, "Gator Party" - it was perfect to use with this fun rotating mechanism!

The fact that he's got a birthday cake in his choppers goes perfectly with this sentiment.... "Time for CHOMPING on some Birthday Cake" riiiiiight?!!!  :)

You may have noticed that I have the "Snappy Birthday" on here twice.   That is a mistake due to being overly focused on trying to get the sentiments printed on my slider piece a 2nd time after having messed up by printing it horizontal and there was clearly not enough room, so....  It was not suppose to be on the slider, just on the front of my card.  OH SNAP!  *giggle*

I did not do a tutorial for this as it was my first time and I wasn't sure how it would go, but I do have a link to the tutorial I followed and my own notes and pictures along the way on my personal blog here.

Thanks for taking a peek! What will YOU imagine?

Pop Up Flip Card Tutorial

Hello friends, I have a tutorial for you today using the Digi-of-the-Month set for March called "Honey Bear."  Everyone who played in our blog challenge last month received this whole set FREE!  And all who play this month and link up by Noon on the last day of March will be emailed next month's digi set FREE as well - and for those who didn't get to play along in February, the DOTM is discounted all month long. So you can purchase it on sale and jump into the challenge!

Ok, so this card looks very simple and "normal" on the front, but when you open the card, BOOM!, there it is, lol the wow factor!  The image pops up and flips (more like tilts) to face you.  Are you ready to try one of these?!  Watch the video below....

Measurements & Instructions:

Card Base = 8.5" x 5.5" and scored at 4 1/4"

DSP for front layer = 5 1/4" x 4"

DSP for inside = 5 1/4" x 4"

Mechanism base = 2 1/2" x 4" and scored along 4" side at 1", 2", & 3"

Mechanism tab = 3/4" x 2 1/4" and scored at 1 1/4"

  • Adhere your top dsp layer onto card front by taping/gluing only along outter edges.  Do not glue down middle portion.
  • Adhere your inside layer to bottom half of inside.
  • Center your die to the front and die cut through the card front only (through the dsp and front of card base)
  • Glue/tape just one scored section closest to the end of the 4" mechanism piece and place glued end just south of the scored line of the card base.
  • Fold the mechanism in half, bringing the loose end up and matching the edge with the part you just glued down.  Add a line of glue or tape just to the top half (furthest away from you) of the first scored section.
  • Bring your card front down onto the glued mechanism.
  • Add tape/glue to the backside of the longest half of the tab (2 1/4" x 3/4") and place the extended portion edge up to just past the scored line on the larger mechanism.  The folded score line should be closest to you.
  • With the scored tab folded in half, add glue/tape to the top of that shortest half of tab.
  • With card closed, line up the solid colored circle shape you cut out (of the card front) and place it back in the cut-out section, adhering it to the glued tab.
  • Adhere your image (cut smaller than your original shape), or you can decorate this shape as you wish.
  • Add finishing touches, sentiments, embellishments etc.
Really easy to add a wow factor to an otherwise normal card fold.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ what will YOU imagine?❣
