Polar Fun Slider Cards

Hello friends!  I just gotta say what an incredible honor it is to wake up to an email like I did today from Gail S., sharing with me that she was inspired by one of my interactive cards and she gave it a go!  How FUN is that?!!  Gail created this fun SLIDER card featuring the Polar Fun digi set in the shop and followed my video tutorial here.  So I (Kris) joined her today, using the same set in a slimline version this time.

Let's take a look at Gail's card first...

How CUTE is that?!!  Gail sponged a beautifully sunny sky, added a couple glistening snowflakes and even added some glitter to this sitting penguin's earmuffs, feet and beak (precolored images were printed) I just love this!

I had a li'l play with her photos and created this fun video too...

You can hop to Gail's Blog to see her card details HERE.

And here is my Slimline version of the penguin slider....

and of course... a li'l snowy video ta-boot :)

Thanks so much for looking today!  Happy Crafting ♥

Fun with Magic Iris Cards

Hi friends!  I've been at it again... creating with this month's Digi-of-the-Month, "Lizzy's Umbrella"!  This time I created a Magic Iris card where the iris opens up to reveal a hidden message, and then Lizzy and her cute li'l ducky friend pops up when you open the card!  Take a look...

You might recognize the image on the front of my card -- it's called Piggy Tulip Boot PlanterI printed it out and colored with Copics, cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals.

For inside the magic iris, I printed a sentiment and rainbow from this month's DOTM set, Lizzy's Umbrella.

For the inside of my card (pic below), I printed off the girl and duck image (also from this month's set)  and created a li'l pop up tab and taped behind her so she pops up when you open the card. :)  What do ya think?

You can find more details and a list of my supplies for all 3 cards on my blog HERE.

New- Truckin' Pupkins

Happy Fall y'all!  This is my latest digi in the shop and is on sale for a limited time (only $2.99)!

I colored the outline image with Copics, including the ground and shadow.  Then I masked the image and blended ink using blending brushes in shades of yellow, pink and purple.  Added some white highlights.

In this digi set, you get the truck without a sentiment on the sign, then 5 different sentiments that fit on it so you can choose which sentiment you'd like for it to say!  OH... and in case you didn't get the title... they are PUPS, so I had a fun play on words... instead of Truckin' Pumpkins, it's PUPkins!  Heehee.

Head on over and get your cute digi stamp set for only $2.99 for the next few days only!!

Happy INKing!

Pop Up Display Frame Card

Hello and Happy Wednesday!   As you can see, I am having so much fun with October's Digi-of-the-Month:  "Lizzy's Umbrella" and hope my team and I have given you lots of ideas to encourage you to  create your own papercraft project to enter in our challenge, here.

I first saw this card style on Jennifer McGuire's channel HERE. My previous 2 display frame cards were the larger 5" x 7" size, but for this one, I tried the regular A2 size and I really like how it came out.

I used one of the sentiment that comes in this digi set, however I pasted it 2x in MS Word, then cropped the top part out of one, and the bottom part from the other so I could print them separately.  :)

Magical Rain Shaker Card

Hello crafty peeps!  Were you able to make at least one card yesterday for "World Carkmaking Day"???  I made this really fun interactive card  - my first time making a Magical Raining Shaker Card!  And  October's Digi-of-the-Month was the perfect image for it!

I debated on whether to put the sentiment on the front or the inside... my hubby said the front, so there it is!  :)  I had fun creating the backdrop for this card!  I started out sponging ink with SU!'s Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and graduated to Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape at the top.  I then spattered ink by dipping a paint brush in water and then in ink that I had dabbed onto an acrylic block and tapped the brush to make the spatters.  I then did the same with some white craft ink.

To create the "magical rain" I added some foam tape to the top and bottom of my card.  And since I used seed beads that were slightly larger than I should have, I had to double up on the foam tape to get it the right height.   If your tape is lower than your beads quite a bit, they won't slide as well.  I then marked in pencil about every 1/4 inch top and bottom and that's where I laid my strings of beads and I pushed the string into the foam tape.  Next I added 2 more layers of foam tape to top and bottom and added my embossed clouds and image.

You can search YouTube for Magical Rain Shaker Cards and several videos will pop up.  They do take a bit of time stringing those beads, but it wasn't bad.   I have a supply list at my personal blog HERE.

Stay tuned!  I have another fun card to share using this set that I will post in a couple of days.

I can't wait to see what YOU will create with "Lizzy's Umbrella" this month!  Click HERE to link up!
